Our Client is seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse/Distribution Operative to join their team in Sutton Weaver. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, packing and despatching within a warehouse environment. This is a temporary-to-permanent contract, where after the completion of 12 weeks, a permanent position will be offered.

The working hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of goods using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts and manual handling techniques.
• Emptying of containers
• There may be the occasional requirement to use the company vehicle to make a local delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
• A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential
• Must have own transport and a clean driving licence.

A manufacturing company based in Birkenhead requires a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.

This is a permanent position, and working hours will be at least 40 hours each week. You must be flexible to cover breakdowns, absences, and holidays, and you will be expected to work additional hours as and when required by the business.

• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Diagnose breakdown problems
• Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
• Liaise with departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

Requirements

• Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent with an electrical/mechanical background.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must be fully flexible
• Must be computer literate
